No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction at anytime.
There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction,
a blessed unrest keeps us marching and makes us more alive than others.

Jack Lemmon

i feel compelled to write, but i have nothing good to say. it's all bile and bitterness.

my own life is wreck right now it seems, and i'm through dwelling on that for today.

today Jack Lemmon died.

sad, dit moi.

one of my favorite actors.

A&E had a biography of him. talking about deciding whether to take a part he said:

"if i was putting it off at all or making excuses, i'd ask myself if i was afraid to do it. if the answer was yes, i'd do the movie."

i didn't get the wording right, but the gist is correct.

as for where i am today, let's say that Jack said it better than i ever could, and Jack had more balls than i ever will.
