No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction at anytime.
There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction,
a blessed unrest keeps us marching and makes us more alive than others.

wondering

hey.

how's it going?

you been okay?

yeah, me too.

just saw final fantasy. pretty cool. glitzy, spiffy, pretty. but also had some semblance of a plot (go figure). needed a bit more character development, and some more background to the story. but overall pretty good.

after the movie we were talking about how the kind of computer imaging technology in that movie would eventually revolutionize the pornography industry. (don't tell me you haven't thought about it.) someone brought up the whole thing about how as soon as holograms become cheaper than dating, the world is doomed.

speaking of simulated reality, before the movie i was at CandleMan's and he was showing me this computer game called The Sims. it's basically a simulation of life. you set up a house, you make a person, they get a job, there are relationships, blah, blah, blah. there's not really a point to it, like a goal, like a way to win. you just play. just like life. there's death, but apparently you can stave it off through roshambo.

anyways CandleMan told me you can throw a big party in the game, and get a bunch of people, then build a room around them with no doors, and they freak out and piss themselves, and eventually starve to death.

for some reason this struck me as the funniest thing i'd ever heard. i nearly pissed *my*self laughing at that.

then i said "i love that when you break the rules of the game, and do something atrocious".

kinda makes you wonder about me.

doesn't it?
