No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction at anytime.
There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction,
a blessed unrest keeps us marching and makes us more alive than others.

what it's all about

do you know what it's all about?

me neither, but i'm gonna guess.

for one thing, never underestimate the amusement potential of a paper shredder. eRoommate, several months back came back from the Office Despot store with a paper shredder. he went for a trash can, and for "just a few bucks more" he got the shredder with attached trash can. now, almost every day, he takes almost unwholesome glee in shredding his junk mail. it started just with credit card applications, you know, for security purposes. cause of all those people diving into our dumpster, fishing out credit card applications. now, he shreds most anything. and every time he does, *every stinking time* he says "that's the best $15 i ever spent. i love that thing." (giggle)

know what else it's all about?

me neither, but here's another guess.

lazy weekends. weekends where at 10:30 on a saturday night, you realize that you haven't been outside all day, you've been laying around, and reading and playing computer games for 12 hours straight, and you mix yourself a jim beam and pepsi one (the undiscovered mixed drink of the ages) and sit down to more computer games. and you know what?

there are a million things i should be doing right now, and i mean a *million*.

that's why it's so fun to do nothing.

for now, that's what it's all about.
