No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction at anytime.
There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction,
a blessed unrest keeps us marching and makes us more alive than others.

day of the weasel

Honor is a gift you give to yourself.

You do not act honorably in order to be lauded by other, but so that you may live with yourself.

The test of honor is not found in what you do in the harsh light of day, but in what you do in the dark of night. When you think no one is watching, or will ever find out, that is when the test of honor occurs.

Today was an inflection point, a turning point, a watershed in my time with this company. This is a company that makes a great show in the light of day of having strong values. Yet in the dark of night anything that might reflect poorly on those in power is not dealt with honorably, but swept under the rug. The child who points out that the Emperor is nude is not lauded for speaking truth to power, as he is encouraged to do, but is instead summarily executed.

Hypocrisy is the order of the day. Cynicism is the best survival strategy.

Today is the day of the weasel.
