No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction at anytime.
There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction,
a blessed unrest keeps us marching and makes us more alive than others.

Is that a challenge?

Last night Rudy and I walked down memory lane together. See, we met when we both worked at the same company. It was a technology startup, and it was the real startup experience. We had the little perks, and the long hours, and the crap pay, and the soon-to-be-worthless stock options.

We also had a tradition.

"Is that a challenge?" The words would come floating over the cubicle walls, and we'd all pop up like prairie dogs, look around for boss-types, and then fire up Unreal Tournament. (For those not in the know UT is a First Person Shooter game. Like Quake, or Doom, or other games that lead to teenagers shooting each other.)

Rudy and I used to occasionally stay late after work, and beat up on each other. We got pretty addicted to it. So last night, I got it all fired up and running, and we stayed up late pasting each other. After awhile we decided to do the sniper challenge. We played one level over and over, with a truce between the two of us, just sniping the computer players.

For as much as I don't actually like real guns, it's kind of scary how good I am at using a sniper rifle in a game.
